Avonmouth supports renewable energy with wind turbine refurbishment

Wind power contributed to 20% of UK electricity generation last year, making up 54% of electricity generation from renewable sources. In the UK currently wind power production consists of approximately 11,000 turbines with a total installed capacity of over 24GW, placing the UK as the World’s sixth largest producer of wind power.
The UK Government has committed to 40GW of installed offshore capacity by 2030 (bringing overall UK wind capacity to over 50GW). Avonmouth Engineering Services are delighted to have played their very small part in this pledge by helping to keep this particular turbine on the move.
